The Rock Creek State Fish Hatchery sits at the spring-fed headwaters of Rock Creek, about 2 miles north of Rock Creek Lake and northwest of Parks. It began as a private hatchery about 1913, and the state bought it in 1924. It raises rainbow trout every year, tiger trout every other year and some warm-water fish, and supplies nearly half the trout stocked in Nebraska. Visitors are welcome daily, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Mountain Time; call ahead for a tour.
