The McPherson County Courthouse, 500 Anderson St. in Tryon, is a one-story building of 2005–06 by KP Construction of North Platte. It replaced the two-story brick courthouse of 1925–26, listed on the National Register in 1990, which was wrecked by a storm in the early 2000s; the first courthouse, of 1890, was built of sod.
