Farmers Day began in Kimball in 1923, when the town served a free lunch to farmers after a poor wheat crop, and it has been held every year since 1926 on the last weekend of September. The 100th Farmers Day was Saturday, September 26, 2026, with the theme "Roots and Rails." The program usually includes a Friday soup supper and bike races, a Saturday morning parade, car show, burger feed, goat roping and demolition derby, and Praise in the Park on Sunday.
