The Howard County Courthouse, 612 Indian St. in St. Paul, is a four-story Classical Revival building of brick faced partly with Bedford limestone, designed by George A. Berlinghof of Lincoln; its cornerstone was laid in 1913 and it opened in November 1914 at a cost of about $103,000. It was listed on the National Register in 1990, and a 1919 GAR Civil War monument and a History Nebraska marker stand on the grounds.
