Hotel Garber, 346 N. Webster St. in downtown Red Cloud, opened in April 2025 in the restored Potter-Wright Building of about 1902, empty for years and missing its third floor after a 1961 fire. The restoration cost more than $8 million in gifts, grants and historic tax credits. It has 27 rooms, including a two-bedroom loft, and Forrester's restaurant and lounge, named for the couple in A Lost Lady.
