The Chase County Fair & Expo is held each August at the fairgrounds, 560 Park St., Imperial; the 2026 dates are August 9–15. The City of Imperial bills it as "Western Nebraska's State Fair." The week includes a carnival, 4-H shows, a ranch rodeo, free shows, a tractor pull and headline concerts, with expo vendors and camper spots for rent; a sponsor supper is held the Friday before.
