Valley County Events

Valley County's events include North Loup's popcorn heritage festival, Arcadia's long-running fall celebration, and the county fair in Ord.

North Loup Popcorn Days

North Loup — Mid-August. A three-day festival held every August since 1901, when drought turned valley farmers to popcorn, with a parade, free popcorn, games and contests.

Arcadia Fall Festival

Arcadia — Around Labor Day weekend. A long-running community festival with a full weekend of fall activities, marking more than 70 years running.

Valley County Fair

Ord — Summer. Held at the Valley County Fairgrounds, with 4-H and livestock exhibits and community events.

Ord Farmers Market

Ord — Summer, weekly. A local produce and vendor market.

Fort Hartsuff State Historical Park, just north of Elyria, holds living-history programs from May through September.
