Mormon Island State Recreation Area, 7425 S. US Hwy 281 near I-80 Exit 312, about 3 miles north of Doniphan, has two no-wake lakes, swimming beaches, shelters, an accessible fishing dock and the Cedar and Cottonwood campgrounds with electric and basic sites, showers and a dump station.
