History
Bruno was established in 1887 when the Fremont, Elkhorn and Missouri Valley Railroad was extended to that point. The village's name honors Brno, the capital of Moravia, since a majority of Bruno's early settlers were natives of that region. This Central European heritage remains part of the community's identity.
